Who knew finding a PCP would be so hard? I work with a bunch of doctors too. Looks like I will remain a tool of the urgent care system…
Tweet #500: Does that mean I’ve leveled up or something?
OH: I see too many mustaches here to think that one of you isn’t an undercover cop.

I have posted this pic on pretty much every social network I am a part of, so I guess I will put it up here as well…

What's up?: August edition

Since last time I posted anything directly about my life, I was getting ready to go on vacation to San Diego.

You can see the pictures here

We had a blast!

I have spent a bunch of time at work to prepare for the medical students to come back. That included a couple of web projects. Those are now being used by the students and I am working on maintaining them and planning some minor improvements.

I picked up a new web client over the summer and I am really excited about that. The client is very passionate about his business and that really is a key factor for me in choosing to work with someone.

So what’s next?

Well, I am gonna be working on a couple of freelance projects in my spare time and am really looking forward to seeing students come back into town.

Also fall is a time when baseball starts to heat up (go Dbacks!), also football is starting as well (go Cowboys!).

For the “foo-foo” side of things, Tucson Symphony is starting it’s 80th season late next month.

I think I will be the first in a series called “What’s up?” to be updated monthly.

I'm a nerd, and bigfoot might have been found

  • Sam: dude, they might of finally found bigfoot
  • Sam: http://news.google.com/
  • Sam: under the science tech section
  • Me reading headline and caption: Hunters claim to have nabbed Bigfoot, Internet goes nuts ... A couple of hunters in northern Georgia (the state, not the country) claim to have found a carcass of the legendary creature known as Bigfoot (or Sasquatch, if you prefer).
  • Me: haha
  • Me: i thought he was in northern california or oregon or something
  • Sam: read the last sentence at the bottom
  • And that last part of the article reads: But here's the real kicker: Every geek and X-phile knows Bigfoot prefers the thick forests of the Pacific Northwest. What the heck was this one doing in Georgia? Searching for decent barbecue?
  • Me: I'm such a nerd.

I am so ready for vacation

I have just under two weeks until I and some other friends set off for San Diego.

I am ready for vacation. Work will be high stress up until the minute I log off my computer to leave for vacation. This month I scheduled things tight in pretty much every aspect of life. I have a new tool that I am creating at work and will be spending a lot of time with that. I have freelance stuff that dominates a lot of other time. Then I have the hang out time required to keep me sane. On top of all of that, I have WoW time, which has gotten to be less and less (probably for the better).

I have posted a couple of posts on my main blog and have a couple of posts in the works. My goal is to post at least once every two weeks.

I really really wish our office was like this…

Firefox 3

So the time has arrived. Firefox 3 releases today. At 9:59 PDT, the page worked fine. At 10:00 PDT, geeks and nerds all over the world hit refresh in an instant barrage of bandwidth.

Mozilla has been marketing the new browser for months now. A site sprung up where people could pledge to download firefox today in hopes of breaking a Guiness world record of downloads in a day.

You would think that if they wanted to break a record, they would have prepared the bandwidth.

So it’s 10:12 PDT and I still don’t have Firefox 3. :(
